At Barbecue News Magazine & NBBQA, barbecuing and grilling is our passion. We want to help the next generation of BBQ cooks, grillers, and chefs. Barbecue News Magazine & NBBQA is pleased to provide a scholarship to high school graduates and college students with a BBQ background. This contest-based scholarship is awarded to students in good academic standing and meets all the requirements. We will announce the winner on August 1, 2024, and the winner will receive money toward their school of higher education.

2024 SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT: $1000

ELIGIBILITY

• Applicant must be enrolled or registered at a full-time culinary school, technical college, undergraduate, or graduate student at an accredited US college or university 2024-2025.

• Be a US citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.

• Applicant must have a BBQ/ Grilling interest.

• All majors are welcome to apply.

REQUIREMENTS

• Submit a 750-word essay that centers around this year’s chosen topic.

• Topic: How has BBQ Impacted My Life

• Proof of Enrollment – Transcripts, tuition receipts, or acceptance letters will be accepted. Please submit as .jpeg, .pdf, or .doc.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

All applications must be submitted by July 20, 2024.

WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT

A winner will be selected and notified by email by August 1, 2024.

By applying to this Scholarship Program, you certify that all the information you have provided is original, accurate, and complete. All submitted essays must be the origi-nal work of the applicant. Applicants may enter only one submission per student per year. Duplicate entries are not accepted. All scholarships are non-renewable.
