I agree with what you all are saying. We do no frying at home except for occasional bacon or breakfast sausage and eggs. I'm a Popeye's guy to. This is only the third time I've ever eaten at a KFC. Called them KFP - Kentucky Fried Pigeon when we were kids. This buffet was really good - no kids in restaraunt while we were there. Everything looked really clean. Staff was almost constantly replenishing the items. Come on, they had brussel sprouts and they were really good. I even ate fried okra for the first time. We have really good fried chicken locally - White Fence Farms - their "home" location is on old Rt. 66, with a few others scattered in the suburbs. Best fried chicken is Belgrade Garden in Barberton, Ohio. Plaque and article, from USA Today, on the wall that rates them 2nd best fried chicken in the U.S (Actually think the fried chicken my Mom made when I was a kid is the best. Don't know what she used for breading but when fried hers was dark brown - not golden). We go every time we visit my family in the Akron area. We call it Barberton chicken. Don't know why but Barberton is a fried chicken "mecca". Four or five places serve Barberton chicken and it's highly competitive. Been going since I was a kid, and have eaten in all at one time or another, but Belgrade's is the best! My "chicken" box!
