Have most of you switched to Facebook? It seems that the forums have been slow.I have been really busy the past couple of years at work have not had much time to chime in.It does seem that more people post on Facebook.I quess that part of it is you can see pictures of who your talking to.I hope to get back on here more often.

Danny,

Still around from time to time. I think some have found other forums that suit their needs/desires more. But you're right, this place isn't any thing like it once was...

Know a lot lurk or check in from time to time. Still a lot of caring and sharing. I try to stay in touch here and two other barbecue forums + I'm new on Facebook. Just not enough time to keep up with all. May not be "The Best Dang Forum On The Net!" any longer but this is still a pretty darn good place to be!

Danny, I am in and out on a regular basis. Just don't post much anymore. I don't know what has happened to most of the old faces. I think they may lurk around because every now and then one of them posts. Anyway, its good "to see you" again.

I'm still here, I haven't been cooking much lately and I don't have too much to say lately. I've taken to hiking on the weekends--Working on getting the cholesterol down below most people's car payments so my pit has been cold but I'm still around and reading posts, and occasionally I read something and get the inspiration to fire her up.

When I first came on board.I was looking at getting a Lang 60 read I few post and asked a few questions. The first person to respond was Big Orange Smoker. After asking the right questions I ended up with a Lang 84 Deluxe.Still have it and enjoy it.I also just bought a new smoker from Tim Thomas of TNT.His new smoker company is SouthernQsmokers.com They are building some really nice gravity smokers and some water pan smokers. It was quite a bit less than a Stumps so the price was right.Danny Coogle,Tim and Chris Shaw have been doing pretty good with them.So I wanted something so I could sleep when doing a contest.
I do remember when Mother Hen used to send us to our room for getting out of hand. There were alot of nights spent just shooting the bull on here. Now it seems like a ghost town at times.Till next time keep the smoke rolling.

As for me life has kicked it up a couple of notches! Been busy doing some Disaster Recovery work on homes here in NC from last years Hurricane Irene on the OXB and last January's Burke County tornado. It's time to get back to BBQ practice, have a comp in two weeks.

I still check the forum from time to time, but haven't posted anything for a long time. Things have been way too busy for any serious barbecue. I recall being sent to my room a time or two, and the forum is far from what it was in those days. Times change, people change i guess.
