I've been here in Holly, Michigan for the past 31yrs where I've worked at the police department. Grew up about 10 miles north of here and began cooking hot dogs and hamburgs on one of those little hibachi's on top of the picnic table when I was a little kid, grandpa showed me how to make fried egg sandwiches with sliced onion and remember making grilled cheese (no kerosene) in Home Ec class in jr high.
Have our 30th wedding anniversary coming up in August, got one of those little weber smokey joes as a wedding present, just found it recently over at my mother in laws in great shape.
Always liked grilling with a gasser but about 2 yrs ago after watching the bbq shows on tv I bought a WSM and thanks to the likes of everyone here have been enjoying myself ever since.

Take care,
Scott

Live in Hoover, AL (just outside Birmingham). I am actually an Air Force brat so grew up in 8 different states and 4 years in Germany. Since graduating college (WAR EAGLE!!!) in 93 I have lived in Huntsville AL, Nashville TN, Atlanta GA, Frankfurt Germany and Birmingham. Got married in 97 and settled here in Hoover. I am an Industrial Engineer but work as a computer consultant and also own a window treatment company (sell blinds and plantation shutters). I have 2 daughters (5 1/2 and 2 years old) and 1 son (4 years old).

My top hobbies are Cigars, BBQ, Cigars and Golf. I listed cigars twice because they go well with my other two favorite hobbies.

Started cooking on a brinkmann bullet in the early nineties and migrated to my longhorn and now the Stumps GF. Started competing 2 years ago and have a grand total of 4 comps under my belt (Springville and Birmingham twice each).

Born and raised in Illinois, lived in Columbia, a small town of 7000 just outside of St. Louis, Mo until last weekend. Presently Living in Houston, Tx.

I worked at an Auto shop for 16 years, the business closed which prompted the move to Houston. I am looking for a job currently.

I have been cooking and grilling for as long as I can remember, but I have only been making true BBQ for the past 3-4 years or so.

I am 35 years old.

I'm more of a hockey guy than a football guy. That doesn't bode well here in Houston, but I'll always support my hometown St. Louis Blues anyway!

I am an engineer, NOT the sports editor for The Huntsville Times... though I do get his mail and phone calls including invitations to Alabama Crimson Tide events. Too bad I am an Auburn fan.

Cooking for 20 years, Qing for only a few.

I am 40 and hope to meet some of you char-actors at a Q event when I get these 3 kids raised and settled a little more.

Keepin' it smokey in *Sweet Home Alabama* with a Lang 84

Not a BIG UAB fan but a fan thereof as well as Samford (they at least have an Aubie coaching them) & better than that other place down the road (guess we can agree on that) or that cow pasture down the other road & it says it in Legion Field so it must be true & at least Aub ain't afraid to play us in anything so we might get some return trips with the current staff in the future . So now to please Mother Hen we'll go back on topic as too many fightn' words can start when talking of football!!

I am a Cardinals fan. I wore my bright red world series champ '06 shirt to the store the other day. My wife thought someone would try to kick my a**.

I'm actually not looking for work in the automotive field. I thought it was time for a change after 15 years. I just got accepted today at a company that makes valves for the oil industry.

Imagine that.....working in the oil industry in Houston...go figure!

You can pick all you want...I can take it
