Hi all!!
Where are you from.
From Philly, live in the woods of central NJ now.
What do you do.
Hard to explain - but if you've been to Walmart photo dept you've seen/used my work.
How long have you been cooking?
about 30 years.
How old are you?
I knew dirt when it was young! Seriously I'm 54.
And anything else you wouldn't mind sharing.
Oh I'm sure it will come out here and there!!

Ron

I cooked last weekend in Valley with Off the Sauce and learned a lot. My students claim I am older than dirt but actually I took my high school finals on a stone slate. My biggest and best claim to fame is that I am married to the Redhead who is also a judge.

I have finally gotten around to posting this.
I'm a military brat so I'm from everywhere but I currently live in Grant, Al. I retired from the Marine Corps in Camp LeJeune NC and now work in Huntsville Al. for the Army Close Combat Weapon Systems project office on Redstone Arsenal and I train soldiers on weapon systems. I spend about 250 days of the year on the road.
I have been backyard cooking since I can remember but have been cooking competition since 2007 when I entered the Rocket City BBQ cook off for the first time and was hooked. I have now cooked 7 competitions and would cook more if I wasn't traveling so much. I am 47 years old going on 20.
I have been following the forums for a while now and have since got to meet several of ya'll at competitions along the way. It was good to be able to put faces with names. I truly enjoy the competition circuit and all the people. Thanks to all who have helped me along and I look forward to seeing Ya'll out there.

Timber Folks BBQ Profile

I'm from a small town in the Deschutes National Forest of Oregon called La Pine and the Oregon Cascades are my backyard for any adventure.
I own Cedar Mountain Homes that builds and restores custom Cedar log homes.
I started cooking for my Navy Seabee buddys in 1977 and enjoying different spices along the way has really opened my eyes to food. This sauce that I make has 12 spices that marry great together when cooked very slow...and I make it with root beer!!
Timber Folks BBQ is 50 this July...

I made this sauce for the folks that want to enjoy family and friends or where ever ya just like ta sit. The Mason jar that she comes in and only in quarts,is a home style feel you just don't see anymore and wanted that for my customers. The best is we support all BBQ folks out there!! email us were friendly cuz wer Timber Folks!!
