Congrats to Kevin and Bubba plus Forrest, Rub, and Walt for the top ten calls. Congrats to everyone who walked. This was one GREAT competition. I still can't believe how tight the scores were for ribs. I missed Buddy and Gator not being able to make it, but enjoyed talking with Kell and looking forward to trying his new rub.

The FBA added The Good One smoker company as a sponsor next year, and they're commiting a smoker to the winner of each state in the TC next year. If you haven't made plans to cook either FL, AL, or GA legs of the TC, you might want to.

Congrats to all and a big cheer for all formum members.

On a different note, shoot for winning one of the Good-one cookers. I have using Good-ones for about 3 years and they make some good food.

Yes for a category, according to this:
http://www.flbbq.org/fba_rules.htm

"12. SCORING - Each entry will be scored by 6 FBA certified judges in the areas of PRESENTATION, TASTE / FLAVOR, and TENDERNESS / TEXTURE. Scoring ranges from a low of 5.0 to a high of 10.0 in increments of .5 points for each category. Using a weighted average, the maximum score for a category is 200 points. Any entry that is disqualified as per section 13 will receive a score of zero for all three categories from all six judges at that table. "

Thank you!
And a big Congrats to Sam and Diane, Bubba, Greg, Forrest, Rub, Dana, Jimmy, and to all here that that had a chance to walk the stage. And big congrats to Damon Wooley for winning the Backyard Competition!

What a great event, and many thanks to TheBBQGuru.com, Big Green Egg, Old Whiskey River, and to all the sponsors...

We had a real dilema on our hands trying to fit everything in the truck and trailer to get home! I wish I had a picture of this trophy, it was the biggest, heaviest, and definately the most unique I have ever seen.

We had to solicit several of our neighbors to help us get it out of my truck.

And uhh... Another first for me... butt darts! and Sandy Rub has nothing on Kell!
