Man...what a beautiful night to be cooking!
33 degrees and crystal clear. Now if I could just get that idiot a couple of lots down the line to cut off their radio...

Good luck tnbqrbq! I've got my first "requested" cook for work in 2 weeks. I understand about being nervous! Christmas lunch for 40. Pulled pork, chicken thighs, beans, slaw, bread, cakes/pies. We (wife and me) will make everything but the slaw. I'm really just practicing tonight for it.

Best wishes for both of you. Just run through it from beginning to end in your head a few times and even try a practice cook, you'll be fine. Be prepared for anything though.

Thanks Bigabyte. It'll be a lot easier to do these guys at work my first time out rather than strangers. They'll pick at me I'm sure, in fun, but I'm gonna give them bbq/dessert to remember! Our boss says if my bbq is as good as my pound cake then they'll love it. We'll see. I better not run out of food though!!! Thanks for the encouragement! Let's see, this butt's been on 6 hours, I guess I better check the temp...

I wish I could do a practice cook but no time. My local IGA has pork loins on sale for $1.79 lb. I got a 8.5 lb and cut it in half. One half is wrapped in bacon and my sweet dry rub. The other is simply seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic. On the cooker now!!

Kenny, I'm in hopes of seeing the Baby Stumps in Perry, Fl. this weekend. I've been trying to figure a way of convincing the misses of letting me buy a tailgater.
