Having dinner for our friends and neighbors with no family near. Just having fried turkey, beer basted pulley ham, baked sweet and whipped Irish taters, gravy, plain and oyster dressing, green bean casserole, sauted brussel sprouts, homemade rolls, cranberry salad, tossed salad and a few desserts. Guess the smoker will get this holiday off (smoked prime rib for Christmas though).

Brining & smoking 2 turkey breasts for the adults and a turkey leg for the girlfriend's little boy! Also dry rubbin' & smoking chicken wings for a snack before the meal.
Meanwhile, in the house...girlfriend will be making sweet taters with pistachios & baked macaroni & cheese---one of her Italian/Cajun blends she is famous for. (around our house @ least) Mom is coming over & making a big pan of dressing as well as a squash casserole . Neighbor is bringin the finishing stuff like rolls.
And no meal would be complete without my childhood favorites-pecan pie and fudge pie!!!
It a regular fat boy's paradise!!

Mom and Dad want to do something different. So looks like I will be smoking a prime rib. Temps should be in the mid 50's here. Nice day for cooking, football and a long nap.

I'm doing the turkey on the weber (much to my wifes dislike, she doesn't think that it's right not to stuff the turkey).

I'm also doing my famous sweet potato casserole, mashed taters with roasted garlic and gravy, apple/sausage/cranberrie stuffing, sweet and savory glazed carrots, and for dessert we'll have pumpkin cheesecake and apple pie.

Looking very forward to it. Family, good friends, good food, and good beer!!! Life doesn't get much better!!!

I will probably re-smoke a Ham and fast cook a turkey to take to my sisters house thursday.

since the temps will be up for the turkey to about 350 how long should I leave the presmoked ham in the pit. I could use two pits and do them seperate but I think I will have a lazy streak about then.

Being a pre-smoked ham, at 350* I'd say about 10-15 minutes a lb or until it get's to 145* internal.
