not sure if this is the right place, or anyone cares but here it goes... as someone who enjoys a good deal i would like hear about everyone else's bargain finds, new and used. here's your chance to brag about something you scored from craigslist, ebay, a yard sale or even a restaurant auction.

I have gotten a few weber 22.5 kettles off craigslist for between 20 and 30 bucks (make great presents with a new grill).
Also bought my Longhorn new (not even seasoned) off of a local guy from ebay for $255. the wood rack underneath was bent a little along with one leg which i fixed. it was an academy reject.
Just bought my weber spirit with a half tank of propane for 50 bucks (cost me 20 cause when my neighbor move she gave me her royal oak charcoal grill that i sold on craigslist for 30!)

weber 22.5" kettle
weber spirit gasser
Brinkmann El cheapo square smoker (jerky machine)
OK Joe longhorn 20"
ProQ Exel 20 (new kid on the block)

A friend gave me a 3'x4' sheet of Stainless Expanded Steel that he scored from work before they took it to the Junk Yard. Worked Great in the Smoker.

I hear ya Joe. Nothing wrong with a good deal, especially if it's bbq. Laura got me checking govdeals.com and I found something I can turn into a smoker.....for only $160, plus a little sweat.

On my mailman job, I've gotten a 22.5 old black Weber because someone was throwing it away. The other day I spied a RED 22.5 sitting by some trash cans near a customer's garage. Left a note asking if they were getting rid of it..yes the customer said..in a few weeks when they buy a new gasser. Weber doesn't make red ones anymore. I also get to check out garage sales while on duty..never know what ya might find!
