Going to see one of my daughters in the Tampa area friday. Knowing how much I like Q she checked around and was told to try this place in Brandon. It' supposedly a Mom$POP place so I'll let you know what I think(for what it's worth) It's on hwy 60 in Brandon if anybodys been there

Not sure what that one is, but if you a chance try Big John's Alabama Q. It is on 40th street just north of Hillsboro Ave. This a hole in the wall that makes decent Q. I am pretty sure that is the location, but it has been 8 years since I have gone there. My friends say it has not changed.

Good luck.I tried a new place today it was awful small sandwich cup of stew and drink 9.00 The stew was like mush and the sandwich was drowned in sauce.

Just got back from Brandon visiting my daughter. We went to Ist Choice for lunch and was impressed. My SO & daughter had pork sammies, the meat was chopped and so much on the bun it would've made two sammies. I had a combo platter of ribs and chopped brisket. All the meat had a nice smokey flavor and very tender and tasty. The sides were collards(real good), fries(fresh cut not frozen) slaw(soso), and pasta salad(had a nice kick to it).. Out back they had a huge pile of oak that a local tree service keeps supplied for them. Over all I will be back again real soon, and visit my baughter while I'm there, especially if she buys
PS The sign says it all--Follow the smoke
